BIOGRAPHY

Thobekile Gambu serves as the Sustainability Lead at uMngeni-uThukela Water, bringing over 13 years of experience as an Environmental Scientist across sustainability, climate resilience, ESG integration, and water resource management. She leads the organization's Sustainability and ESG Program, directing climate adaptation, renewable energy, and decarbonization initiatives.

Thobekile has represented the water and sustainability sector on major international platforms, including the United Nations Water Conference and the Global Energy Transition Congress. She serves on the advisory boards for the Enlit Africa Municipal Forum, DEVAC Invest Africa, and the Water Security Africa Summit.
